Our Spring CSA Begins!

Superstar Apprentice Farmer, Charles Spencer, feeling that Spring vibe at Hatcher Station.

We are extremely excited and proud to launch our SPRING 2022 CSA* this week. It’s been a long, hard-working, and sometimes cold winter (nothing like ‘up North’ of course) but we are finally able to bring you a delightful, delicious and 100% LOCALLY-GROWN set of produce and edible wares from the growers in our Dallas-centric agrisystem.

We invite you to enjoy, share, comment, and stay tuned as our selections will grow and change throughout the season. Yes, the late winter cold snap affected some of our fruiting plants, so we will have mature and savory offerings within the next couple weeks.

In this week’s inaugural box, please find (again, subject to last minute availability, thank you for your understanding!):

  1. Natural organic eggs

  2. Baked good from Wise Catering

  3. A potted herb

  4. Chinese Cabbage (Hatcher Station Farm)

  5. French Breakfast radish and radish greens (grown at Hatcher Station Farm)

  6. Collards (grown at Hatcher Station Farm)

  7. Microgreen – Cilantro (grown by our Apprentice Farmers)

  8. Microgreen – Red Stem Radish (grown by our Apprentice Farmers)

  9. Hydro Grown: Central Red Mizuna

  10. Hydro Grown: Red Cloud Tatsoi

  11. Turnip and turnip greens

  12. Win Win Choi (grown at GroZilla, our hydroponic grow machine)

*What’s a CSA?

CSA stands for ‘Community Supported Agriculture’ where a number of local farmers, producers, and entrepreneurs combine their food and wares into a single ‘box’ of goods with all proceeds being shared by the participants. Restorative Farms grows food and trains farmers but also provides opportunities for local small farmers to aggregate their resources and offerings as we put the CSA boxes together for you.
